Tail-Wagging Excitement!
Get ready for wagging tails and splashes as Dogs in Togs makes its highly anticipated return to the Makino Aquatic Centre (MAC) on Sunday, April 19. For one special day, the outdoor pool transforms into a doggy paradise. As the outdoor pool season winds down, the MAC team will stop chemical treatments after the last public swim, creating a safe space for dogs.
A firm favourite on the local events calendar, Dogs in Togs has been delighting dogs and their humans for years, offering a unique experience that’s equal parts adorable and entertaining. With dedicated swim sessions based on size, every pup from our little friends to the big water lovers are accommodated.
For just $6 per dog, this event is an affordable way to treat your four-legged companion to something special. Spaces are limited and registration is required, so keen dog owners are encouraged to register early. Owners are welcome to join in the fun too just remember, heads above water. All dogs must be registered, vaccinated, and kept on a lead when arriving, and owners are responsible for their pets throughout the event. Entry is via the Church Street carpark, and bringing a towel is highly recommended.
Adding even more excitement to the day, Dogs in Togs is proudly supported by Superior Pet Food Co. Limited. Known for their commitment to high-quality, natural pet nutrition, they have generously donated a range of products. This includes cartons of their large rolls, boxes of Possum Supreme 750g rolls, and a variety of popular treats such as Chunky Beef Chews and Chunky Possyum Sticks. These contributions will be used for giveaways and spot prizes ensuring plenty of tail wags.
Whether your dog is a swimmer or more of a toe dipper, Dogs in Togs is all about fun, doggy friendships, and letting dogs be dogs. So, grab the lead, pack a towel, and get ready for a day that’s guaranteed to make a splash.
