Snorkelling Under 7's
Get ready to explore beneath the surface! This snorkelling session introduces children to the basic skills and safety essentials of snorkelling in a safe, supervised pool environment.
Kids will learn how to use a mask, snorkel, practice breathing techniques, and gain confidence moving through the water. It’s the perfect first step for young explorers ready to discover the underwater world safely and with fun!

Survival Swim Crash Course
Develop your water skills even further these school holidays with our Survival Swim Crash Course for ages 8+!
This 1.5−hour, action-packed session helps kids build essential water survival skills through fun challenges and guided activities.
Designed to boost confidence, awareness, and safety in the water, it’s a great opportunity for young swimmers to feel more capable and in control.

Inflatable obstacle courses take over the indoor 25m pool. It’s big fun for kids, youth, and anyone who loves a challenge.
Get ready to race your friends, test your balance, and see if you can make it to the finish without a splash.
Junior Lifeguard Experience
This fun, action-packed session lets kids try real lifeguard skills through hands-on challenges, building confidence, teamwork, and water safety awareness - perfect for water-loving kids ready to level up their skills.

Poolside Crafts
Get creative poolside with fun, hands-on crafts to make and take home.
Jump in and out of the pool as you go, creating something unique along the way. Bring your friends and enjoy a relaxes, creative space together.
No bookings needed, just normal pool entry and a bit of creativity.
Matariki Pool Party
Celebrate the Māori New Year with friends and whānau at Makino's Matariki Pool Party!
As we come together to reflect, reconnect, and celebrate Matariki, enjoy giant inflatables, pool games, music, laughter, and plenty of splash-filled fun for all ages.
Inspired by the stars of Matariki and the spirit of togetherness, it's the perfect chance to make special memories with your whānau and community.
