Enrolment Process

At Makino Aquatic Centre, we aim to make the enrolment process as smooth and transparent as possible for all families. Whether you're joining us for the first time or continuing your swimming journey.

Annual Enrolments

At the beginning of each year, we open enrolments to everyone. This is the perfect time to secure your spot in our swimming programmes, especially if you're new to the Makino Aquatic Centre or looking to return after a break.

Term-by-Term Re-Enrolment

At the end of each term (Terms 1, 2, and 3), we automatically re-enrol swimmers who are continuing in the same level. If your child is progressing to a new level, you will need to re-enrol them in that level, as spaces depend on availability.

This ensures each swimmer is placed in the right class for their ability and allows us to manage class sizes effectively.

End of Term 4 and the New Year

Term 4 is a little different. Instead of rolling over into the next term, we treat this as a fresh start for Term 1 of the following year. All swimmers will need to re-enrol during the annual enrolment period at the start of the year.

We’ve made it easy for parents and caregivers to manage enrolments through our online portal. You can view available classes, re-enrol, or make changes to your child's enrolment with just a few clicks.

Assessments

Here at Makino, we offer free swim assessments to ensure that your child is placed in the right class from the start of their swimming journey. These can also be booked through our website and filling out the online swimming assessment form.
