Inflatables
Inflatable obstacle courses take over the indoor 25m pool. It’s big fun for kids, youth, and anyone who loves a challenge.
Get ready to race your friends, test your balance, and see if you can make it to the finish without a splash.
Water & Boat Safety
Dive into a fun and interactive session where kids can build essential water safety skills both in and around the water.
Through hands-on activities, they'll learn how to stay safe around boats, wear and fit lifejackets correctly, recognise common water hazards, and make smart decisions in different aquatic environments.

Junior Lifeguard Experience
Step into the role of a lifeguard these holidays with our Junior Lifeguard Experience! This 2-hour action-packed session lets kids try out real lifeguard skills through fun challenges and hands-on activities.

Poolside Crafts
Get creative poolside with fun, hands-on crafts to make and take home.
Jump in and out of the pool as you go, creating something unique along the way. Bring your friends and enjoy a relaxes, creative space together.
No bookings needed, just normal pool entry and a bit of creativity.
Rural Day Disco
After an exciting Rural Day in town, keep the country fun going and come on down to Makino for a party like no other!
Pull on your gumboots, dust off your cowboy hat, and join us for a country-themed splash at Makino!
Our giant inflatables will be taking over the pool for sliding, bouncing, and non-stop fun, with country tunes and a great rural atmosphere.
Perfect for kids and families of all ages. Grab your togs, bring the whānau, and join the Rural Day fun.
